The First Gathering of Dragonia

Leo the dragon slayer, who became king of Dragonia, when he married the Bee Queen, had many children. All of them had beautiful shiny black button noses; some had black curly hair, other had straight blond hair, but all of them had big brown eyes.
King Leo was a happy king; he had found the love of his life, and he loved all his children!

King Leo’s father had taught him always to be the best, never to give up and always make sure he was obeyed.  His brother had the same upbringing, and it had resulted in a constant rivalry between the two brothers. They had a fight and by accident Leo killed his brother. Leo’s heart was eking when he thought about his brother and the grief he caused his parents. He was so remorseful that he had a gathering of all the wisest men and woman he could find, to create a new way of living. He wanted the Dragonians to have freedom, a freedom he never felt he had as a child, as he was destined to become King after his own father.

It was a gnome called Dulin Red Beard that came up with the idea that Dragonia should have an elected gathering of advisors to rule Dragonia. He had been traveling in the human world and heard about something called democracy. At this time no one in Nidlongdir had heard about such and idea, and it created a lot of discussions, but King Leo asked Dulîn to travel back into the human world to find out how he could create democracy.

Dulin returned with many books about democracy and human history, The Gathering read all the books and after many days of work and negotiation, they agreed on the following proclamation:

Dragonia is to be a free part of Nidlongdir.
Dragonia is ruled by a public elected gathering of elder advisers.
There will be an election every 5 turn of the sun and no one can be elected more than two times in a life time.
All races are equal and have the right to a place to live and to food and drink.
All citizens of Dragonia have a right to work.
Trading is to be within the rules of Nidlongdir:

The Dragonians will allow freedom of speech and thinking to all citizens.
All Dragonians will receive a passport by birth, or emigration.
Dragonia is obligated to keep the nature clean, and help all creatures of Nidlongdir.

King Leo gave up his throne, and from that day on the Dragonian Throne Hall was renamed and called The Gathering Hall. The first gathering was elected shortly after.
