About The Lovebirds Nest
This suite has been redecorated many times since Princess Elyra who started the inn lived. Originally it was designed as a library, but the Inn had more and more guests, so when Elyra’s daughter Fie Blue Bell inherited the inn, she had the library turned into a suite. The suite didn’t get its name; The Lovebird Nest for a start, Fie had the suite named the Pink Rose, but as time went by, this suite became very attractive to newly wed fairies. In Nidlongdir newly wed, call the first days after the wedding for The Nesting Days, and the suite took on its name from this expression. When the Apple Fairies of Nidlongdir get married, they go through an apple portal to show the world their love. After that they will dance around a perfect red apple until the sunset, and then they will go to the bride’s house, to have the traditional wedding cake with the White Kiss tea.
This suite is the most fashionable of all the suites the inn has. The Lovebird Nest’s bed, is one of the most popular furniture in modern fairy homes. The young fairies prefer this kind of bed from the traditional apple bed, as the one seen in The Green Apple Suite. The chandelier was a gift Fie Blue Bell had from Cinderella, when she visited the inn on her travel in Nidlongdir. The mosaic floor is the original floor from the old library; it is made of colored stones.
In the back of the suite you will find the True Love Wall. The wall has been enchanted by the Clover Spirit at the Rainbow Tower. If you kiss your true love in front of this wall, your nose will turn green if you don’t truly love your partner, so this wall is the ultimate test on the wedding night!
The suite is not used by the royal family, they celebrate their Nesting Days at Apple Hold Castle, but many other famous fairies have kept their Nesting Days in this suite. The most dramatic couple was properly Elodie, who owns a fashion shop in Upper Branch Road, and her husband Green Sock. They went through the apple portal, only a few turns of the lights ago. It was a lovely bright day, and everything seamed perfect for the wedding, but when Elodie was to step through the apple portal she stumbled, and they had to go through the portal once more. After they had gone through the portal a second time, a dark fairy showed up, and claimed that she was already married to Mr. Green Sock. Elodie was naturally chocked, and wanted the dark lady to prove that she was his wife. The dark lady convinced Elodie that they should take the test at the True Love Wall. Elodie agreed, and Mr. Green Sock was forced much against his will, into the Lovebird’s Nest to take the test. The dark lady convinced Elodie, that it was best if she was the first to kiss Mr. Green Sock. Elodie agreed, after all she wanted to know if her new husband was an impostor. Mr. Green Sock went to the wall to kiss the dark lady, when she pulled out a wand and turned him into a snake. She grabbed him, and put him in a bag, and then she took a traveling potion and disappeared. Elodie and her wedding guests was so chocked that they didn’t manage to stop her. Elodie never saw her husband again, and she is still searching for him. She is afraid that the dark lady who stole her husband, made him forget about her, and that she never will find him again. Elodie asks for your help to find her husband, she has consulted the Clover Spirit, and she told Elodie, that if she kisses a man, and he turns out to have the tongue of a snake, she has properly found him. Only a very few know about the snake magic, so there can only be a few men in Nidlongdir, that kiss like a snake, and should you ever kiss a man like that, Elodie would like to hear from you!
