About The Green Apple Suite

The Green Apple Suite was one of the first rooms princesses Elyra had decorated. Nowadays the suite is seen as it originally was decorated; with green apples hanging form the sealing, and the carved apple bed, prepared with linen from pure silk, and the pillows that are decorated with gemstone embroidery, created by Princess Elyra her self.  The things Elyra chose for this suite is all about tradition. She wanted to show her visitors how the Apple Fairies of Leafenheim City decorated their homes. To day the fairies have many different styles in their homes, and they have developed very sophisticated ways to decorate their houses.

It is unknown where Elyra had the four the green sculptures from, but it is almost sudden that she had them from a human visitor. At the time Elyra lived, there was a closer relationship between the Apple Fairies and the humans. The purple torches carried by the green sculpts are not hot, and it seams like they have some sort of maintaining effect on the suite, because last time the suite was cleaned and redecorated, the purple torches was put out, and in a few hours the room started to smell rotten.  Most fairy houses in Leafenheim are cleaned and redecorated a least once a week, but the Green Suite has the same interior, as Elyra put into it when she lived, so perhaps she had the green sculptures installed in the suite on purpose.

The Green Suite had many interesting guests through time, but the most funny guest properly was King Frost, who wanted to experience the warmth of living in Leafenheim City. King Frost’s castle is perhaps the coldest place in Nidlongdir, situated to the fare north, so it’s understandable that he would find The Blue Bells Inn very exotic.

When he arrived to the inn, his elves carried his entire luggage, and it’s safe to say, that he had more luggage’s then even Santa Clause. He had to book two rooms, one for him self and one for his elves and luggage. During his stay he spent more time than Cinderella would have done, on choosing what to wear. The hole inn had to close down all the heating, because his cloth was to warm, and he wasn’t used to the climate. He insisted on having the traditional Red Apple Tea, with honey and cinnamon, but it melted the ice in his long white beard, and his bed flooded with the melting ice, so he had to stay one night in the Royal Suite. You should think that King Winter had tasted ice cream before, but he never had, so he ordered the Spring Cake at The Swinging Tea Party in the lobby. He was so thrilled with the cake that he decided to have this cake send to his castle every year in the spring, so that he can celebrate the end of the winter season is over, and he can retreat to his castle for the summer, to get some rest.
