The Legend about Elyra and Her Golden Apples!

The Fountain Suite was dedicated to Idunn the goddess of springtime and youth, she was the only elf from the Vanir tribe to visit princess Elyra in The Blue Bells, before the gates of Alfenheim was closed, because of the battle between King Apple Core and Queen Titania.

Idunn and Elyra had been friends from the day Elyra was born, so it was with grief in their hearts they had to let their paths separated. As a farewell gift, Idunn gave Elyra an apple from the golden basket she always carried. Idunn’s apples were known by the Gods to be magic, and Idunn went to their table to give those of the Gods who wished a taste of the fruit a bite of her apples, so that they could gain eternal life.

The apples on the fountain were grown from the seeds of the apple Elyra had as a gift. The legend tells, that somewhere in the mist, there is a castle with a beautiful garden, and in this garden Elyra planted a seed from Idunn’s apple, and grew an apple tree, that carrier’s golden apples every year. This was the castle Elyra’s father King Apple Cord built, as a golden prison for her Elven husband, prince Blue Ash.

Elyra had a fountain created in honor of her friend Idunn, and she put some of the golden apples from the apple tree she had planted, into the fountain. It is common knowledge to the Apple Fairies of Nidlongdir, that when Idunn’s apples are taken across the Rainbow Bridge called Bifrost, they become deadly poisoned, and just one bite can kill a giant, so Elyra knew that the apples from her apple tree was likely to be poisoned.

One night right after Elyra had opened her house as an inn, she had a strange guest. It was a lady wrapped in dark purple leaves, her face was covered with black spider silk, and on her left had she carried a ring with a black Onyx stone. The lady introduced her self as lady Mimetidae, and asked if she could stay for one night in the Fountain Suite. Elyra thought she looked strange, but had no reason to suspect any thing bad from the lady.

Elyra showed the dark lady into the Fountain Suite, and bid her good nights. The next morning the dark lady had despaired, and so had one of the golden apples on the fountain. Elyra had the kings men sent out to look for the thief, but they never caught her. Some fairies claim they have seen this dark lady in the part of The Mist called The White Grave, wandering around with a big green spider. Some say she is a witch other a ghost, and if you ever come across her you better keep in good distance to her, as she might be dangerous!
